Any feedback on the show is very welcome - what did you like? What didn't you like? How can we improve? What would you like to see at the next show? Due to circumstances beyond the organisers' control, no fixed-wing aircraft could operate from Abingdon Airfield for the 2010 Abingdon Air & Country Show.
This was due to an issue surrounding the sign-off by Defence Estates of the licence which is required to operate fixed-wing aircraft from Abingdon for the event. As you will have seen
we managed to put on the flying display regardless, adding some more items to make up for the lack of operations from the airfield itself. Sadly the poor weather precluded the appearance
of the Jet Provost, Harvard and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

We timed our visit to the UK from Perth, Australia, to coincide with the airshow and our son's 5th birthday. Naturally, we were all disappointed, as were the organisers, about the fixed wing aircraft being absent, however the helicopters and stickers were great, and the F16 was awesome! Full credit to the organisers as we has a great day despite the FREEZING weather and it was such a shame all the stallholders didn't turn up. We would love to come again in better weather! Hope you get appoval for landings next year. Thanks!

Better luck with next year's show, at least you know that the white collar staff at the MOD obviously know little about a good day out!
Now that 7 Rifles are based at the Edward Brooks Barracks over the field, perhaps they could do a tentage area with survival demos and stuff for the public to be inspired by? At RAF Waddington they do this every year and it really adds a great angle to any show as it is educational and probably the first time people get to see shelter making kit, water purification apparatus, cooking kit etc. 7Rifles could really spice up the show before the flying starts.
Well worth passing this on to the Boss of 7Rifles.
Keep up the good work guys!

Such a shame about the weather, however seeing and HEARING!!! the F16 more than made up for the weather, this plane was absolutely BRILLIENT. If you could get more planes like this to display it would be fantastic, planes like the tornado, harrier, jaguar and best of all.....the euro-fighter to display aswell would make the day the perfect next year......(i know a few people will moan re noise of these big boys, but for only one day a year they will just have to accept it....or go out for the day ). Just think, the F16, a Tornado and the Euro-Fighter......the event would be a sell out, whatever the weather !
