Any feedback on the show is very welcome - what did you like? What didn't you like? How can we improve? What would you like to see at the next show? Due to circumstances beyond the organisers' control, no fixed-wing aircraft could operate from Abingdon Airfield for the 2010 Abingdon Air & Country Show.
This was due to an issue surrounding the sign-off by Defence Estates of the licence which is required to operate fixed-wing aircraft from Abingdon for the event. As you will have seen
we managed to put on the flying display regardless, adding some more items to make up for the lack of operations from the airfield itself. Sadly the poor weather precluded the appearance
of the Jet Provost, Harvard and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Thanks to all those people who took part in the raffle to win a gliding course with us. The winner has now been notified and is apparently very excited ! We raised around £100 for the air ambulance with the raffle. We all enjoyed attending the show with our DG505 glider as a static exhibit. It allowed us to meet many people and explain the joys of gliding. If you would like further details about us, please contact us on our web site.
P.S. We are all a bit biased, but we thought the Swift Glider team was easily the best display all day !

Entertaining show - the aerobatic team with the glider were just superb. A good day out, but marred by the totally inadequate number of toilets - and looking back to past feedback it is clear people have been complaining about this for the last three years at least. I know its all in a good cause, but, seriously guys, you need more b****y toilets!

A big ‘Thank you’ to all those people who helped put the show together this year. We (my brother and I) thoroughly enjoyed the show and had a great day. We ordered the Plane TV DVD so I am waiting to receive it to watch it all over again. Obvious attractions were the glider display, the impressive Chinook display and the C-17 Already looking for to next year’s event.
